A very charming text by noted French author and Paris-socialite André de Fouquières (1875-1959) about perfume written in the form of an exchange of letters between a Frenchman and an American young lady. The plates, by leading artists of the period, illustrate 9 different Rigaud fragrances (Un Air Embaumé, Prince Igor, Muses des bois, Mary Garden, etc.).
With an autograph letter signed by the author loosely inserted in the volume.
