A fine series of Orientalist prints by the noted French artist Georges Pierre Guinegault (1893-1982). As a 19-year-old boy he began his fine art studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Beginning in 1920 he exhibited at the Paris salons, became a member of the Société des Artistes Français and exhibited extensively with this group. Guinegault painted many Orientalist scenes, but is also known for his paintings of women, seductive nudes and portraits of fashionable ingénues. His style is very similar to the works of Jean-Gabriel Domergue. He illustrated several books including Heures Galantes by Jean Noury.
