Uncommon catalogue presenting a few examples of Paul Dumas’s 1930 collection of fine wallpapers.
Wallpapers emerged as a particularly buoyant art form in France during the 1920s reflecting the heightened decorative intensity of French pattern design. Paul Dumas ran a large textile and wallpaper factory at Montreuil-sous-Bois where, in addition to printing wallpapers for Atelier Martine, he produced designs by, among others, Paul Follot, Lina de Andrada and Lucie Renaudot (Lesley Jackson, Twentieth Century Pattern Design).
